On 11 October, 2013 a special demonstration of the FPLB film “To the Depths of Lake Baikal” took place in Irkutsk at the Cinema House in the framework of the VIII All-Russian Festival of Science. The students and teachers of the Irkutsk universities were greeted by the Deputy Director of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal Inna Krylova, who presented a documentary dedicated to the international expedition “Mirs at Lake Baikal”.

Then, as a result of the festival “People and Environment” held in Irkutsk, director of the Irkutsk Regional Cinema Foundation Andrey Salnikov presented diplomas to the films-participants of the festival that were shot with the support of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal: “To the Depths of Lake Baikal” and “Planet Baikal” (directed by Smirnova). Taking diplomas, Inna Krylova thanked the organizers of the festival for the establishment in 2013 the category “Films about Lake Baikal” and the promotion of research and conservation activities on the lake.
