On April 28, a solemn meeting, devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Baikal Institute of Nature Management, was held in the Conference Hall of the Buryat Scientific Center. About 200 guests attended the event - representatives from universities and scientific institutes in Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Chita, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Beijing, etc., as well as heads of ministries and supervisory authorities.

Speaking at the meeting were M.M. Gershevich - Chairman of the People's Hural of the Republic of Buryatia, V.E. Mathanov - State Duma Deputy and member of the Board of Directors of the FPLB, B.G. Balzhirov - Deputy Head of the Republic of Buryatia and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FPLB, M.G. Litvintsev - officer of the President’s Administration of the Russian Federation, and deputies of the People's Hural, etc.

B.V. Danilov, Director of the FPLB, read the welcoming address to the Baikal Institute of Nature Management on behalf of M.V. Slipenchuk - Chairman of the Board of Trustees and B.D. Tsyrenov - Vice President of the Baikal Institute of Nature Management. Souvenirs were presented from the Varyag Charity Fund to A.K. Tulokhonov. Achievements of the Baikal Institute of Nature Management’s team, and the personal achievements of the Director A.K. Tulokhonov, will be distinguished in Ulan Bator during a meeting with the President of Mongolia, the heads of Russia’s regions, V.N. Chilingarov - President of the FPLB and M. Slipenchuk - Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the FPLB.
