The two crews continue their Northern Baikal research, completing a new round of submersions in Frolikha Bay.  The scientists’ latest mission: to study the lake’s bottom contour and use the Lander probe to measure local hydrothermal discharges, analyze the bay’s biochemical and microbiological flow activity, and gauge the direction and speed of the lake’s bottom currents.
