Delegation of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal led by the
Chairman of the Guardianship Board M. Slipenchuk visited the I Open
Kyokushinkan World Championship at the Moscow Centre of Martial
Arts.
The best athletes aged 12 to 18 from about 40 countries of all the
continents met on the tatami. They arrived from Australia,
Azerbaijan, England, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Bulgaria,
Bolivia, Botswana, Germany, Netherlands, Georgia, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
Iran, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Congo (DRC), New Zealand, China,
Costa-Rica, Kuwait, Lesotho, Poland, Swaziland, Serbia, Tajikistan,
Ukraine, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Japan and other
countries.
One of the members of Championship’s Presidium, Champion of
Japan, silver medalist of the First World Championship, the
President of International Karate-do Kyokusinkan (KI) Organisation
Hatsuo Royama (Japan) is an old friend of the Fund and helps the
Fund to promote healthy life style and to support young talented
sportsmen in their striving for high
achievements.
