Today, after six hours of submersions MIR-1 deep submergence vessel reached the depth of 1,371 meters.
 Deep submergence vessel MIR-1, piloted by Victor Nischeta, searched for archeological artifacts in the area of Krugobaikalsk railway, as well as explored the shore line and near-bottom fauna.
 The challenge of deep submergence vessel MIR-2, piloted by Evgeny Chernyaev, was to conduct hydro-chemical and biological investigations. As a result of submersions to the depth of 1,200 meters a gas hydrate was obtained and a hydration experiment was performed. Besides, newly found micro canyons of the shore line were explored.
