From January 19 to February 17, 2013 at the Central House of Artists, Moscow International Festival of Nature “Golden Turtle” will take place. The Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal will present at the festival its exhibition dedicated to the international scientific research expedition “Mirs at Lake Baikal” and photo exhibition of Olga Kamenskaya “Baikal. Kingdom of ice and water”.

This year on the initiative of President of Russia Vladimir Putin “Golden Turtle” will be the starting event of the Year of Environment in Russia and will be held under the patronage of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Natural Resources with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow. The opening ceremony will take place on January 18.

The Festival “Golden Turtle” is unique in the world due to the fact that its area will not only present a variety of cultural and educational projects that demonstrate the beauty of the world, but also will propose projects and initiatives to conserve it.
