On May 12 the educational historical game Unforgettable pages of history for pupils of 9-11 classes took place in the Ulan-Ude Ethnographic museum. The main goal of the action is to draw attention of younger generation to the role of Russia in world historical process (within the framework of Year of the Russian history in our country).
Teams of 28 comprehensive schools of Ulan-Ude, teachers of history and representatives of the Committee on Education of the Ulan-Ude Administration took part in the action.
The game was organized by the Faculty of History of BGU, of the Committee on Education of the Ulan-Ude Administration, Association of teachers of history of the Republic of Buryatia with support of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, the National library of the Republic of Buryatia and the National museum of the Republic of Buryatia.
The Director of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal Boris Danilov made a speech of welcome at the inauguaration of the event and he wished success to all gathered teams.
During the game the participants should pass the route where at each station there were the intellectual games on the subject of the anniversary events of the Russian history.
The separate station, organized by the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, was devoted to Hundred miracles of Baikal. The players of this game had to show all their knowledge of the Sacred Sea: nature monuments, sacral places, spiritual shrines, cultural and historical heritages of the land, wildlife of the legendary lake and etc.
According to Boris Danilov, The best knowledge is knowledge of the native land. The pupils of school No. 63 were the best in showing such knowledge, they were awarded with special prizes from The Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal.
