On August, 20th expedition continued researches at cape Tolstuy,
on depth 1380-1400м. Immersings lasted about 6 hours. One of the
purposes of today's researches -to check the hypothesis that
in this area can be an underwater mud volcano.
Besides it, the crew of "Mir-1" piloted by Victor Nishcheta, was
engaged in selection of ground deposits and biological objects.
Also scientists have established a temperature-sensitive element
for measurement of a geothermal gradient (a thermal stream).
The crew of "Mir-2" led by Evgenie Tchernyaev has established
the sensor which in a continuous mode allows to fix the abnormal
maintenance in methane water, and special gas traps.
