On 9 June the Round table on the topic “Social Ecological projects on Lake Baikal. Environmental and promoting environmental awareness”, organized on the initiative of the UN Development Program, the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal and the project “Save Baikal”, took place in Moscow within the framework of the Wildlife Film Festival “H2O”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, the project “Save Baikal”, nationwide action “Let us”, production company “Baikal Cinema”, and other public organizations.

During the Round table various methods of effective educational activities, aimed at solving problematic environmental situations, promoting environmental awareness and increasing the environmental culture of the population in general, the methods of educational outreach work of public organizations, art groups and foundations, methods of work with population within the framework of environmental events on natural areas and in city center.

The story of the activity of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, its current and future projects, as well as the movie trailers “Planet Baikal” and “On the other side of the ice”, introduced by the author, the director Gayane Petrosyan, raised great interest among the participants of the event.
